Rock tumbles down mountain narrowly missing hikers in China
A rock tumbled down a mountain, narrowly missing hikers in China.
The incident occurred on Ganzi Snow Mountain in Sichuan province on Sunday, March 30.
Footage shows climbers descending the rocky, snow-covered mountain when people higher up shout out a warning as rocks begin tumbling down towards them.
One rock narrowly misses the head of a man in an orange coat as the climbers quickly move to avoid being hit.
A man, identified only as Mr Xu, told local media that he had reached the top of the mountain and was descending when a loose rock was dislodged.
People above immediately shouted warnings to those below, and Mr Xu quickly passed the message to take shelter.
He added that the wind in the area was strong, and the speed of the tumbling rocks was terrifying.
No injuries were reported.
