On April 7 in Zoucheng, Shandong, a car owner took their vehicle to a 4S dealership for routine maintenance. While lifting the car to inspect the chassis, staff heard a strange noise coming from beneath the underbody shield.

After further dismantling, they discovered a litter of kittens hidden in the narrow space beneath the shield.

Four kittens were safely removed one by one, all in good health.

The car owner said they had no idea the cats were inside, and speculated that a stray cat might have crawled under the car while it was parked.

Staff believe the mother cat may have entered the vehicle during the winter in search of warmth and ended up nesting inside, eventually giving birth to the kittens there.

Currently, the owner has adopted two of the kittens, while the remaining two were taken in by staff at the 4S shop.
