A powerful display of devotion was witnessed in Ranchi, Jharkhand, as hundreds of devotees took part in the traditional 'Manda Puja' at a local Shiva temple. The ritual, held at the end of the Hindu month of Chaitra, is marked by one of its most intense expressions of faith — walking barefoot on fire.
The annual puja, dedicated to Lord Shiva, involves nearly 15 days of spiritual preparation and rituals. Devotees fast, pray, and engage in offerings throughout the fortnight, culminating in the fire walk, which symbolizes surrender, purification, and unwavering faith.
The event drew a large number of participants and spectators, highlighting the cultural and spiritual significance of the tradition that has been passed down for generations.
