Death toll in Bangkok earthquake building collapse reaches 44 with 50 still missing

More bodies were found in a collapsed building in Bangkok as the earthquake death toll continues to rise.

Rescue teams dug through the rubble of the State Audit Office amid heavy rain on April 15.

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration said four more bodies were found, bringing the fatality count to 44, with 50 people still missing.

The 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar on March 28, around 12:50 pm local time. More than 5,000 are believed to have died, and many more are injured.

Search-and-rescue operations remain ongoing in both countries, with numerous nations sending assistance and emergency responders to help with the disaster.
