Cheeky monkey rips woman's wig off her head in scary encounter in China
Recently, at the Qianlingshan Scenic Area in Guiyang, Guizhou Province, a humorous incident unfolded when a woman was playfully interacting with a macaque. In a sudden move, the monkey yanked off her wig and tossed it to the ground, leaving both the woman and onlookers in fits of laughter.
According to staff at the scenic area, macaques are classified as a nationally protected Level II species. While they typically don’t initiate attacks, direct eye contact, teasing, or feeding by visitors can provoke aggressive behavior. Warning signs have been posted throughout the area, and patrol staff are on-site to remind tourists to maintain a safe distance.
The macaques at Qianlingshan are known for their cleverness, and similar incidents—such as snatching phones or bags from visitors—have occurred before.
