Yujie, a Chinese citizen and avid traveler, has detailed a troubling encounter while visiting Egypt, alleging harassment by a taxi driver followed by mistreatment from local police authorities.

The incident began after Yujie took a taxi in Cairo en route to Sharm el-Sheikh, during which the driver allegedly used vulgar language and touched her legs. She asked to exit the vehicle, but the driver continued to drive recklessly. Yujie recorded the exchange for evidence and shared it on Instagram.

According to Yujie, police officers later arrived at her hotel in response to her social media posts. She claimed she was detained for hours, asked for money by a translator, and then denied contact with the Chinese Embassy. Yujie stated that police confiscated her phone, took jewelry and accessories from her luggage, and forced her to buy a plane ticket back to China.
