CCTV Captures Head-On Collision Between Uncontrollable Truck and Passenger Bus in Rajsamand; 37 Injured
Script:
Rajsamand, Rajasthan:
A horrific road accident was caught on CCTV near Majera village in Rajsamand district’s Delwara area on April 16, when a private passenger bus carrying wedding guests collided head-on with a speeding truck.
The incident occurred on the National Highway near Majera. The bus, traveling from Udaipur and filled with wedding guests, was struck by an oncoming truck. According to eyewitnesses, the truck driver lost control while trying to avoid a car that suddenly appeared in its path. In a split-second reaction, the truck swerved to the right—directly into the path of the bus—leading to a violent head-on crash.
The collision was so intense that both vehicles became entangled. Around 37 people were injured in the accident, including the truck driver and several bus passengers. Among them, five individuals—one elderly person and a woman—are reported to be in critical condition.
Emergency responders, including toll plaza staff, crane services, ambulances, and personnel from Delwara and Shrinathji police stations, rushed to the scene. Both drivers, who were trapped inside their vehicles, were successfully rescued, and all injured were transported promptly to nearby hospitals.
Hospital sources confirmed that 37 injured individuals were admitted, with several receiving primary treatment and later discharged. An investigation into the exact sequence of events is ongoing.
