An injured skier was rescued from Maladetas Peak in Spain.

The distressed holidaymaker suffered a knee injury and called emergency responders on Sunday, May 4.

The Mountain Rescue and Intervention Group promptly launched a rescue operation, deploying a helicopter to locate the skier.

Footage shows authorities aboard the aircraft approaching the snow sports enthusiast stranded on the mountain.

Once found, the individual was safely airlifted and transferred to the Civil Guard base for further medical treatment.

Maladetas Peak, located in the Pyrenees near the French border, is part of the Maladeta massif, one of the most popular yet challenging alpine destinations in Spain, known for its steep terrain and unpredictable weather conditions.
