A firefighting aircraft was deployed to combat a wildfire in Fresno, California.

The Springs Fire reportedly began on Tuesday, May 6, near Avenue 56 and Road 272 in Tulare County.

Authorities reported that the blaze burned approximately 1,817 acres over two days.

Crews from CAL Fire's Fresno Air Attack Base participated in suppression efforts.

A C-130H aircraft was deployed and reloaded to assist, delivering nearly 15,000 gallons of fire retardant. Additional aerial support was provided by the Porterville Air Attack Base, with Tanker 122 contributing to the operation.

Officials confirmed that the Springs Fire was fully contained by Thursday evening though the cause of the blaze remains under investigation.

Fire crews clarified that full containment means the fire's perimeter is secured by control lines to stop further spread, though isolated hotspots may still exist within the area.
