Pakistan long-range missile 'aimed to Delhi shot down by Indian military'
A Pakistani long-range missile reportedly aimed at Delhi was shot down by the Indian military.
Footage shows authorities investigating the area, with the alleged explosive still lying in a field in Sirsa, Haryana, on May 10.
Pakistani officials confirmed they had launched multiple drones and missiles at India on Saturday morning as part of a mission called 'Operation Bunyan al-Marsus'.
On Saturday, US President Donald Trump announced on social media that India and Pakistan had agreed to a 'full and immediate ceasefire' after four days of clashes.
He said: 'After a long night of talks mediated by the United States, I am pleased to announce that India and Pakistan have agreed to a FULL AND IMMEDIATE CEASEFIRE. Congratulations to both Countries on using Common Sense and Great Intelligence. Thank you for your attention to this matter!'
However, just hours after the announcement, both sides traded accusations of violations.
India accused Pakistan of repeated breaches, while Pakistan denied the claims.
Both pledged to uphold the ceasefire, but India warned it would 'deal strongly' with any violations during the truce.
The Indian government confirmed the launch of 'Operation Sindoor', targeting nine locations in Pakistan, with at least 24 missiles fired at 1:30 am on Wednesday, May 7.
Pakistani officials reported at least 31 deaths and more than 57 injuries in the strikes. The missiles reportedly hit locations in Pakistan-administered Kashmir and the eastern Punjab province.
In response, Pakistan launched intense shelling across the border into northern India just hours later.
At least 12 civilians were reported dead, and dozens more were injured in the shelling, which struck multiple areas, including Bhimber Gali and Karnah in Jammu and Kashmir.
The strikes followed a terror attack in Kashmir on April 22, which resulted in 26 deaths. The Resistance Front (TRF), a shadow group of the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba, claimed responsibility for the attack.
Intelligence sources suggest the assailants may have crossed over from Kishtwar via Kokernag to execute the planned strike.
