This is the terrifying moment a fire broke out in a restaurant kitchen.

Tara Antakhon had left a dish cooking unattended on a lit stove, sparking flames when the food caught fire in Bangkok, Thailand.

Upon noticing the smell of smoke, she rushed into the kitchen and discovered the growing blaze on May 15.

CCTV footage shows her switching off the stove as the wok remained engulfed in flames.

Unsure how to react, she stood frozen before turning off the lights as the fire reached nearby cabinets.

She then tried to scoop the burning oil into a concrete sink using a pan.

However, the fire flared up again upon contact with the sink, spreading towards a cabinet near an electrical outlet.

Tara poured water over the sink to suppress the flames and repeated the process to try to douse the burning wok.

Overwhelmed and uncertain what to do, she eventually called a colleague for help.

Local media reported that the fire was successfully extinguished, and no injuries were reported.
