Trees were uprooted as a powerful storm struck Delhi in northern India.

Dramatic footage shows heavy rainfall and strong winds sweeping through Noida, with a dust-laden storm causing widespread disruption on Saturday, May 17.

Debris from damaged structures was seen flying through the air.

Officials reported that the shed at the Rapid Rail Metro's Ashok Nagar station was damaged due to the freak weather.

The India Meteorological Department had forecast a thunderstorm with rainfall for Delhi on Saturday, with maximum temperatures expected to reach around 42 degrees Celsius.
