Los Angeles, United States - May 18, 2025 05/18/2025 01:08 am GMT-0700 DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Los Angeles Fire Department and California Highway Patrol units responded to reports of a motorcycle down in the middle lane of the northbound 110 Freeway at 3rd Street. While emergency personnel were en route, additional reports indicated that the motorcycle involved belonged to an LAPD motor officer, prompting LAPD Central units to respond to the scene for an officer down call. Upon arrival, emergency personnel discovered that the rider was actually a security officer on a police-style motorcycle. The collision also involved a white minivan, and the cause of the crash is unclear and remains under investigation. The security officer was transported to the hospital in unknown condition, while the driver of the minivan was not injured.
