A tornado touched down in Colorado, leaving a trail of destruction behind.

Footage shows the funnel-shaped weather phenomenon striking near the Town of Bennett at approximately 1:50 pm on May 18.

Witnesses reported that the tornado formed around 1:30 pm. It narrowly missed several homes and smashed a solar farm, causing significant damage.

Debris from the twister was visible, including a damaged vehicle found in a residential yard.

The Adams County Sheriff's Office responded promptly with deputies, emergency management personnel, and other resources to assess the situation.

At least 17 homes were reportedly damaged. Power remained out in the area, with no estimated time for restoration.

Public Works began delivering non-potable water to support livestock in the affected region.

No injuries have been reported following the severe weather event.
