JACKSON, Tenn. — A powerful storm rolled through Chester County on Monday, damaging property and prompting tornado warnings, but sparing the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Jackson facility from major harm.

The TBI reported a section of fencing was down outside its building, but confirmed all staff members were unharmed. The video of the storm, captured by Chester County Sheriff’s Office’s CJ Redmon, shows severe weather conditions just outside the facility.

The Chester County Emergency Management Agency earlier issued a warning about a radar-indicated tornado moving northeast through the area, urging residents in the southern portion of the county to take shelter.

“Our hearts go out to everyone being impacted by these powerful storms,” the TBI shared in a Facebook post. “Please be safe everyone!”
