Israel: Several suspects were arrested following a covert investigation
Israel - May 21, 2025 Jerusalem Police and the National Insurance Institute uncovered a multi-million-shekel fraud network involving doctors, lawyers, a National Insurance Institute employee, and dozens of soccer players from various teams, including top-flight soccer players, who submitted false reports to obtain benefits for fictitious "injuries." Several suspects were arrested this morning following a covert investigation, and hundreds of thousands of shekels, documents, and four vehicles were seized.
