This is the shocking moment a foreigner left a van to dance briefly on a highway during a traffic jam.

Footage shows the holidaymaker, wearing a white sweater, stepping out of the silver Toyota van when the vehicle briefly halted along National Highway 6 in Taichung, Taiwan.

The man then wiggled his body in front of a camera being held by his friend inside the four-wheeler, with plate number RFE 7523, on November 23.

After a short dance step, he hopped inside, and the van slowly drove away.

Barry said: 'The car cut in front of us and started to open the door. I thought it was just to breathe, but then he ran out of the car. I really didn't expect to be able to see that happen in my lifetime.'

The National Highway Police confirmed that they will take action against the driver.

They said that the owner or driver of the vehicle would be summoned to explain the incident, emphasising that the actions constituted a serious breach of traffic regulations, which carries severe penalties.

Authorities warned that the driver's cumulative penalty could reach a maximum of 36,000 TWD (approximately 900 GBP).
