This is the dramatic moment a loose tyre bounced across a field before crashing into an indoor cafe.

CCTV footage shows a vendor preparing ingredients to open the shop, while three customers were already seated inside the dining area in Bueng Kan, Thailand.

Moments later, the smoothie seller noticed an out-of-control car manoeuvring on the road as she filled a basket with water on May 18.

She can be seen watching the car skid past the front of the restaurant when the ghost wheel that had detached from the vehicle rolled rapidly toward the area.

Another employee can be heard shouting: 'The tyre! The tyre!' This prompted the woman outside to turn around just in time to leap out of the way as the rubber crashed directly into the stall.

The runaway tyre then struck a large, heavy ice container, which stopped it from continuing to roll toward the diners.

No one was reportedly hurt in the incident, though minor damage was caused to some items in the shop.

The car owner later agreed to cover all repair costs.
