The Palestinian death toll in Gaza has so far risen to 54,880, with 126,227 others injured, since the outbreak of the conflict between Hamas and Israel on Oct 7, 2023, said Gaza's health authorities on Sunday. Since Israel resumed its intensified military campaign on March 18, a total of 4,603 Palestinians have been killed and 14,186 others injured, according to the health authorities. Data shows that at various humanitarian aid distribution centers in the Gaza Strip, the death toll due to shootings and other incidents has reached 115, with more than 1,110 people injured. Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Saturday issued an evacuation order for residents in the northwest of Gaza City and parts of the Jabalia refugee camp, urging residents evacuate immediately to the south by the afternoon of Saturday.
