Brit crashes as he hurtles down viral Mario Kart race track in Vietnam
Hilarious footage shows how a British tourist crashed while hurtling down the viral Mario Kart racetrack in Vietnam.
Liam Jay Smith, 20, and his friends chose the high-speed entry ramp to start their run on the twisting and turning course alongside other racers.
A helmet-mounted camera shows how the holidaymaker underestimated the acceleration, hitting the barrier on the first corner.
Liam seemed to regret the faster entry point as he swerved between barriers and flew over bumps.
Moments later, as he tried to hit a bend on the incline, he collided with a friend's stuck vehicle, which had also slammed into the crash cushions.
They then repositioned themselves before navigating the slopes at the Cao Nguyen Hoa track in Dalat on May 13.
Liam said: 'None of us were hurt and it was great fun. I didn't realise how fast it would be.'
The Cao Nguyen Hoa track is a popular attraction among tourists seeking an adrenaline rush, known for its steep inclines, winding paths, and panoramic mountain views of the scenic highlands.
The course has drawn comparisons to Mario Kart, the popular video game franchise developed by Nintendo, known for its fast-paced tracks, sharp turns, and chaotic racing elements, attracting thrill-seekers to experience the ride.
