SECURITY OFFICERS STANDING GUARD NEXT TO BARRIERS WASHINGTON, UNITED STATES -JUNE 13: A small group of demonstrators, including activists from CODEPINK, gathered outside the Israeli Embassy in Washington on Friday to protest Israel’s large-scale military strikes on Iran, which have killed at least 104 people and injured 376 since early Friday, according to Iranian state media. Protesters carried signs reading “Peace with Iran,” “Stop Bombing Iran,” and “Israel has nukes, Iran doesn’t” as heavy security measures were enforced around the embassy. The latest Israeli airstrikes hit Iran’s East Azerbaijan province on Friday, killing 18 people and wounding 35, state media reported. Earlier attacks struck Tehran and Tabriz, the capital of East Azerbaijan, targeting Iran’s nuclear program and long-range missile capabilities. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the operation would continue "as long as necessary," confirming the involvement of around 200 aircraft in the assault. Several senior Iranian military officials and nuclear scientists were among the dead.
