This is the amusing moment a parcel delivery rider commandeered a boat to reach a customer's home during a flood.

Janelle Gabriel received her packages from the courier, who arrived aboard the dinghy on a waterlogged street in Bulacan, the Philippines.

Footage shows Janelle handing over her payment to the delivery worker, who was standing on the small water vessel amid leg-deep floodwaters on June 14.

Janelle said: 'The delivery guy was on his way to bring us a parcel, but because the tide was so high, he borrowed a boat just to complete the delivery. It was the first time anyone had delivered to us like that, and I was really surprised.'

Locals in the area have been experiencing scattered rainfall and flash floods due to the southwest monsoon currently affecting the country.
