Brick factory worker wrestles with leopard that attacked him in India
This is the shocking moment a worker wrestled with a leopard bare-handed after it pounced on him.
Mihi Lal, 35, was heading to a brick factory when the wild animal attacked him in Baburi village, located within the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve in Uttar Pradesh, India.
Footage shows Mihi pinning down the leopard while his colleagues threw clay bricks to help him fight off the beast on June 24.
He managed to weaken the animal, but he was exhausted and released his grip.
Mihi ran for safety but the leopard chased him until dozens of villagers hurled more bricks to drive it away.
Forest official Saureesh Sahay said: ‘We immediately obtained permission to tranquilise the animal.'
A forest rescue team tranquilised the leopard, which was later taken to Dhaurahra Range headquarters.
Three people were injured, including a forest guard, a policeman, and a villager. They were all rushed to the hospital.
