Artists Performs Dancing Horse Known as Kuda Renggong Martial Art in Sumedang
Kuda Renggong is one of the helaran performing arts originating from Sumedang Regency. The word renggong is a metathesis of the word ronggeng which means the kamonesan (skill) of walking horses trained to dance and follow the rhythm of music dominated by drums. This art is often used as entertainment for the procession of circumcision or circumcision children, receiving honored guests, celebrating holidays, and performing in helaran or festivals. This art has become an object for tourism typical of Sumedang that cannot be found in other regions.
