A Jesus apparition that was witnessed by stunned Catholics above a church is seen in this video from a second angle.

Footage shows a hazy, silk-like formation in the sky resembling the figure of Christ, above the religious building in Naga City, the Philippines, on June 14.

The worshippers were singing praise songs at the front of the religious building when the white shape emerged.

The apparition formed what looked like a figure with arms stretched wide in the iconic Christian pose.

Flowing strands behind its head resembled long hair, similar to traditional images of Christ.

The gathering was part of the National Youth Day celebration, which brought together hundreds of young participants.

Atendee Angelica Palma said: ‘A sacred and magical moment happened during the Closing Ceremony of National Youth Day.'

Catholicism was introduced to the Philippines by Spanish missionaries in the 16th century, and it quickly became the dominant religion in the country.
