This is the heartwarming moment kind locals helped an elderly woman cross a busy road.

Footage shows the two lads guiding the grandmother with a hunched back as she appeared to have difficulty walking across a zebra lane in Bohol, the Philippines, on June 16.

The youngsters flanked the woman and held her arms as drivers stopped to give way.

Bus passenger Jorgen Chatto said: ‘There was an old woman who was having a hard time crossing the busy street. She had weak knees and appeared tired from playing the ukulele and busking in the street.

‘She wanted to hold onto someone to walk properly until the students came. They didn't hesitate to lend a hand and assist her until she was safe.

‘It was a heartwarming reminder that small gestures can make a big difference in someone's day. That made my day.'
