This is the amusing moment a wild monkey attacked a nun in a park in Thailand.

The simian thug reportedly blocked the woman named Supaporn as she was taking a stroll at a temple park in Lopburi on October 23.

Footage shows Supaporn trying to pass in front of the macaque, only for it to charge at her with fangs bared.

The sudden attack caused the nun to fall over, startling the macaque which fled.

Supaporn said: 'I don't have any injuries, but my skirt was dirtied from falling on the ground. I've learned my lesson, and I won't approach these monkeys anymore.'

Lopburi has become a popular tourist destination because of its large population of monkeys. The monkeys are mostly long-tailed macaques, and they can be found all over the city, from the temples to the streets.

However, they can also be aggressive, and they have been known to steal food and belongings.
