A wild monkey was caught after attacking schoolchildren in Thailand.

Footage shows the aggressive macaque munching on snacks in the school yard in Saraburi on May 22.

The wild animal was said to have bitten a pupil, prompting the teachers to corral the children in classrooms.

Wildlife officers later arrived and cornered the primate in the male toilet. They tranquilised it with anaesthetic before handing it over to the Wildlife Conservation Office.

Monkeys in Thailand have become accustomed to humans feeding them, and they will often become aggressive. They have also been known to steal food and belongings from both locals and tourists.
