GAZA STRIP, PALESTINE - JUNE 30, 2025: A charity organization distributed hot meals to Palestinians in Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in Gaza City, on Monday, June 30, as food shortages intensify under the Israeli blockade. Footage shows residents lining up for hot meals distributed by aid organizations, highlighting the growing desperation among civilians. On Friday, World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said an estimated 112 children are being admitted to Gaza hospitals each day for malnutrition treatment. Israel has kept Gaza’s main crossings largely closed since March 2, blocking hundreds of aid and supply trucks. UN agencies say Gaza requires at least 500 trucks daily to meet basic needs, but often fewer than 50 are allowed to enter. Rejecting international calls for a ceasefire, the Israeli army has pursued a brutal offensive against Gaza since October 2023, killing 56,500 Palestinians, most of them women and children. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its actions in the enclave. Reporting by Ahmed Jihad Ibrahim Al-arini / Writing by Aleyna Cil
