Wales kicked off their European Championship preparations on Monday as they trained in Weinfelder in Switzerland.

‘The Dragons’ are participating in their first major tournament and will make their long-awaited debut on Saturday against the Netherlands.

As well as the Netherlands, Rhian Wilkinson’s side join France and fellow home nation, England, in a tough Group D.

With veteran Jess Fishlock leading from the front, the 38-year-old will have the chance to lead her nation to a historic campaign.

More than half a million tickets have already been sold for the 31 matches of this year's edition of the tournament.

Organisers expect to break the attendance record of 575,000 set at the previous women's euros in England in 2022 when 87,000 people packed into Wembley Stadium for the final.
