VARIOUS DRONE SHOTS OF ORUC REIS, EXPLORATION VESSEL, PASSING THROUGH ISTANBUL STRAIT ISTANBUL, TÜRKİYE - JULY 3: Türkiye's Oruc Reis vessel passed Istanbul Strict on Thursday, July 3, after completes first intercontinental mission in Somali waters. Oruc Reis completed its mission which took 234 days in Somali last year on October 4. Oruc Reis’ mission, which collected three-dimensional seismic data in Somali’s three separate offshore block , 4464 square kilometer area, ended on June 6. After the 9-month mission, the vessel will dock at the Filyos Harbour, and will be ready for its future mission. Oruc Reis, which was built by Turkish engineers in 2017, besides searching for natural sources, is able to conduct continental shelf and searching for earth investigations. The vessel which has length 285 feet, width 75 feet, height 111 feet, and has the capability of researching oil and gas in underseas, and carrying out seismic two-three dimensional researches.
