This is the nerve-wracking moment passengers screamed as a ferry battled choppy seas in Taiwan.

Footage captured by traveler Shih Han shows turbulent waves crashing into the vessel as it navigates the Dongliu Line in Donggang, Pingtung County on July 11.

The nauseating ride resembled a rollercoaster journey for commuters experiencing the menacing weather after Typhoon Danas left the country.

Danas had made landfall in Taiwan on June 6 evening, killing two people and injuring more than 500 as it battered the island's western coast.

One person was crushed by a falling tree while driving, and another died after a power cut caused his respirator to malfunction.

Authorities said the Danas knocked down power to almost 700,000 homes and disrupted more than 300 domestic and international flights.
