This footage reportedly shows Russian soldiers targeting Ukrainian military positions near Huliaipole using Giatsint-B howitzers.

The attack was carried out after reconnaissance UAV operators detected Ukrainian units setting up fighting positions near the eastern Ukrainian town, the Russian Ministry of Defence said on December 9.

Officials reported that they tracked the movement of Ukrainian groups and the preparation of shelters, which allowed them to pinpoint their locations and subsequently fire at them.

The Vostok grouping, using relayed coordination, carried out successive strikes with towed Giatsint-B howitzers and destroyed the Ukrainian positions, the ministry added.

The Russian assault groups were then allegedly able to advance within the city limits.

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, in what the Kremlin is still calling a 'special military operation'.
