BRUSSELS, BELGIUM - JULY 15, 2025: Hundreds of demonstrators gathered outside the European Commission building in Brussels on Tuesday, July 15, calling for an urgent halt to all arms supplies to Israel as well as suspension of the EU-Israel Association Agreement. The protest took place at Schuman Square, home to key EU institutions, while the EU foreign ministers were holding a meeting. Protesters carried Palestinian flags and chanted “Stop the Genocide” slogans. Demonstrators demanded that the EU freeze its partnership agreement with Israel and immediately stop the transfer of weapons to Tel Aviv amid the ongoing Israeli attacks on Gaza. Rejecting international calls for a ceasefire, Israel has pursued a brutal offensive on Gaza since late October 2023, killing nearly 58,400 Palestinians, most of them women and children. The relentless bombardment has destroyed the enclave and led to food shortages and the spread of diseases. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
