United States - November 12, 2025 On November 12, 2025, a BASE jumper was rescued after becoming stranded on a cliff face in Kane Creek. The Aero Bureau, Grand County EMS, and the Grand County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident to save the individual left hanging hundreds of feet above the ground. Dispatch occurred at 13:08. By 15:15, a team member had reached the injured jumper, provided advanced treatment for moderate injuries, and secured him to prevent further fall. At 16:00, the DPS Aero Bureau hoisted the patient from the cliff to a safe landing zone, where he was transferred to an ambulance and is now in stable, non-life-threatening condition. The rescue involved complex technical operations. Grand County Search & Rescue managed the rigging and incident logistics, while Classic Air Medical transported rescuers to the top and stood ready for air evacuation if needed. The DPS Aero Bureau executed the critical aerial lift and hoist operations. Officials praised the coordination and professionalism of all teams involved. “It’s a privilege to serve this community alongside such dedicated professionals, and to bring people home safely,” Grand County EMS said. Though visible from town, authorities stressed that these high-risk cliff rescues are a routine part of training and operations, highlighting the skill and commitment of Utah’s emergency response teams.
