Los Angeles, United States - December 10, 2025 12/10/2025 10:00 am GMT-0800 NEWHALL PASS, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, Calif. – A grim discovery along a stretch of road in the Newhall Pass triggered a full-scale felony hit-and-run investigation this morning after a body was found on the roadside. The victim was located shortly after 10 a.m. on the west side of Sierra Highway, just south of Needham Ranch Parkway near State Route 14. Sheriff’s deputies quickly cordoned off the area, blocking traffic as investigators combed the scene for evidence. Early indications suggest the person may have been struck by a vehicle that fled, leaving the victim on the shoulder of the roadway. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is urging anyone with information to contact the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station as the investigation continues.
