China: Chinese humanoid robots demonstrate industrial capabilities in live factory test
Storyline: Chinese humanoid robots demonstrate industrial capabilities in live factory test [Voice_over] "How exactly can humanoid robots handle real factory work?" Engineers from a Chinese robotics company answered that question recently during a three-hour livestream demonstration. At the Fulin P.M. auto parts plant in southwest China's Sichuan Province, robots were seen navigating through workers and obstacles, delivering parts to designated shelves. Though still slower in action compared to humans, these robots can work 24/7. Staff from the plant say they passed the stress test with near-perfect accuracy. [Sound_bite] Deng Yang, engineering director, Fulin P.M.: "The A2-W robots have achieved a success rate of over 99% in destacking procedure. It also has error-correction and anti-interference capabilities. Even if the parts were not packed neatly, the robots can autonomously adjust its posture to ensure successful grasping." [Sound_bite] Wang Chuang, Executive, AgiBot: "When robots work in the factory, you can see that there is no need to post a lot of QR codes in places nearby, nor make special modifications to the environment. People can walk freely in the robot's operation area, which makes it possible for the mass use of robots in the future." [Voice_over] According to the Chinese Institute of Electronics, the value of China's humanoid robot market is projected to reach about 120 billion U.S. dollars by the year 2030.
