Massive stone pelting in Indian administered Kashmir, Indian police fired teargas shells to disperse the youths

In Indian controlled Kashmir, massive demonstrations rocked old City Srinagar of Indian Administered Kashmir today, against India’s plans to construct separate colonies for retired Indian soldiers and Kashmiri Pandits, Industrial Policy in Kashmir and recent alleged custodial killing of a youth, Sheikh Tanveer Sultan. Call for holding of the demonstrations was jointly given by the All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, and other leaders, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik.
Indian police fired teargas shells and pallets to disperse the demonstrators in Srinagar injured several people. The police took into custody the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, along with several party members when he was going to Islamabad to address an election boycott rally in the town. The Islamabad constituency is going for by-elections on 22nd June.
