Kayaker caught in multiple whirlpools while rafting on river in China
This is the terrifying moment a kayaker was caught in multiple whirlpools while rafting on a river in China.
Dramatic point-of-view footage shows Mr Wu paddling frantically to escape three swirling vortexes on the Yangtze River in Chongqing.
His inflatable kayak can be seen spinning uncontrollably as it's pulled into the powerful currents on July 15.
The vessel teetered precariously, repeatedly sucked into the eddies as he fought to stay afloat.
Eventually, Mr Wu managed to steer toward calmer waters.
He said: ‘I was still trembling afterwards. It was deeply frightening.'
