MOMENT - 10-year-old rescued with CPR after nearly drowning in pool
. SIVAS, TÜRKİYE - JULY 27, 2025: A 10-year-old boy was resuscitated after nearly drowning in a private pool in Sivas, Türkiye, thanks to the quick action of a night watchman off duty.
The fifth-grade student, Muhammed Zahid Bilgin, had gone swimming with friends when he became motionless in the water.
Witnesses pulled him from the pool and immediately sought help.
A night watchman, Burak Gezici, who was swimming with his son during the incident, administered approximately two minutes of CPR and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation at the pool’s edge, successfully reviving the child.
After the rescue, Gezici visited Bilgin at the hospital, where the boy was reported to be in stable condition.
