BLOOD STAINS INSIDE AMBULANCEGAZA, PALESTINE - JULY 27: Israeli forces on Sunday, July 27, opened fire on Palestinians waiting for aid near Salah al-Din Street and the Netzarim Junction in southern Gaza Valley, killing more than 10 people and injuring many. The dead and injured were taken to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, in central Gaza. Grieving relatives mourned the loss of their loved ones. ‏Israel has killed more than 59,700 Palestinians, most of them women and children, in Gaza since a Hamas-led Oct. 7, 2023 cross-border raid that killed roughly 1,200 people. Israel's military campaign has devastated the enclave, collapsed the health system and led to severe food shortages. ‏Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. ‏Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
