FARGO, Ga. — More than 100 alligators were spotted Thursday morning at Stephen C. Foster State Park, creating what park staff described as a “gator-rama.”

According to the park, the reptiles congregated in the boat basin and down the canal, where they were hunting, swimming, bellowing and interacting in a rare large gathering. The park emphasized that such activity is natural during the summer months and serves as a reminder for visitors to keep a safe distance from wildlife.

Officials said the park remains open to the public, but visitors are urged to be cautious around the water.
