VARIOUS OF ILLEGAL ISRAELI SETTLERS MARCHING, HOLDING ISRAELI FLAGSSDEROT, ISRAEL - JULY 30, 2025: A group of Israeli settlers staged a demonstration on Wednesday, July 30, in the city of Sderot, near the Gaza border, demanding reoccupation of the Gaza Strip and the establishment of Israeli settlements in the area. “We are returning to Gaza,” the demonstrators shouted as they marched along the border area in northern Gaza and carried Israeli flags. Among the participants was Daniella Weiss, founder of the Nahala Movement, a group known for advocating settlement expansion on Palestinian land. The protest comes amid Israel’s ongoing genocidal military campaign in the Gaza Strip, which has drawn widespread condemnation for the large-scale displacement and humanitarian crisis affecting Palestinians in the besieged enclave. The Israeli army, rejecting international calls for a ceasefire, has pursued a brutal offensive on Gaza since Oct. 7, 2023, killing more than 60,100 Palestinians. The relentless bombardment has devastated the enclave and led to food shortages. On Monday, Israeli rights groups B’Tselem and Physicians for Human Rights-Israel accused Israel of committing genocide in Gaza, citing the systematic destruction of Palestinian society and the deliberate dismantling of the territory’s healthcare system. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
