On July 30, in a fruit shop in Ma'anshan, Anhui, a staff member experienced a startling moment while cutting open a watermelon — a stream of liquid suddenly gushed out from inside the fruit. The worker quickly tossed the watermelon into a bucket to prevent the juice from splashing everywhere.

According to the shop owner, the watermelon had been in the store for less than five days. Due to recent high temperatures, the flesh had spoiled, causing internal pressure to build up. When the fruit was cut, the sudden release of pressure led to the dramatic juice eruption.
