A five-year-old girl impressed viewers with her star quality as she confidently walked in seven-inch platform heels.

Footage shows Lecxie Famel Jaleco strutting onstage in front of beauty contest trainers and judges in Iloilo, the Philippines, as she practiced her catwalk.

Lecxie was guided by her modelling coach on where to go and how to pose, as she is set to represent her province in an upcoming runway competition in the capital, Manila.

The youngster has been training for two years, having started when she was just three years old.

Father Jeomel Lamparero Jaleco said: ‘We are so proud of her. She will be our representative at the Miss Millenial Mannequin contest this December.

‘She is going to compete under the mini model category and we are so excited for her journey. She is still very young but already good.'

Jeomel added that the young model treated catwalk practice like play.

He said: ‘She rehearses after school. We always ensure she never misses classes. She absolutely loves modelling and we are here to support her.'
