This is the heartwarming moment two friends rescued a group of abandoned kittens after hearing their cries from an undergrowth.

Mykha May Concepcion and her friend, Jan Cedie, were walking towards a nearby river in Cavite, the Philippines, when they heard faint meows coming from the bushes on September 22.

Upon checking, they discovered a damped box containing four tiny kittens. Footage shows Mykha carefully lifting the container and bringing it home.

She then placed the baby cats in a makeshift shelter in the living room.

Mykha said: 'We brought the cats to our vacant house and fed them immediately. After a few days, some neighbours adopted them. I thank God for allowing us to rescue these kittens—maybe it was His way of letting us be there for them.'
