This is the adorable moment a male panda impressed zookeepers with his painting skills.

Footage shows the creature, named Zhui, who resides at Moscow Zoo in the Russian capital, creating a colourful masterpiece with a brush in his paws.

In exchange for his artwork, the talented animal is rewarded with treats, which he eagerly enjoys after completing each painting.

Keepers have praised his creativity, noting that he appears to enjoy the process, often swiping the brush across the canvas with surprising precision.

One of Zhui's paintings will be offered as a prize in an upcoming lottery organised by the zoo.

Zhui is one of the beloved residents at Moscow Zoo, which is home to a number of rare and endangered species. The zoo has become a major attraction in the city, known for its dedication to animal welfare and conservation.

Pandas Zhui and Ding Ding arrived at the zoo in 2019 to mark the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and China. Prior to their arrival, the zoo's staff spent several months training at a Chinese panda nursery to learn proper care techniques.

Zhui is now the proud father of the zoo's latest panda cub, while Ding Ding is the mother, making this a special family moment for the zoo.

The zoo hopes these successful births will contribute to global efforts to conserve giant pandas, a species that remains endangered.
