Friends' 'pregnancy roulette' takes surprising turn as two tests come back positive
A group of friends were left stunned when a pregnancy game took a shock turn - with not one but two tests coming back as positive.
Nell Tully, 20, had planned a surprise baby shower with three other pals for friend Kim, 24, who is six months pregnant.
As part of the celebration, the group played the viral TikTok game 'pregnancy roulette'.
This sees several women take a test, and the results mixed up - before being revealed anonymously for fun.
However, Nell's group received a surprise when two tests - not one - came back as positive.
A video shows the moment the friends realises a second test has a faint line - before gasping in disbelief as the realisation sinks in.
Nell, a nursery worker from London, said: "We all were shocked. None of us thought anything would come from it."
"We only expected Kim's to be positive."
The baby shower had been planned months in advance and the girls had told Kim it was a 'bring a board' night.
Each friend had a secret colour and had to bring a food platter in that colour.
Kim had pink and showed up with pink snacks, unaware it was a ruse for the party.
The celebration included baby-themed games like word searches and pin the dummy on the baby.
During the event, the five friends joked about taking pregnancy tests after one of them, Hayley Heatherington, 22, had gone off meat and was feeling sick while eating Nando's.
That sparked the idea to turn the situation into a lighthearted TikTok video.
They ordered four pregnancy tests via Deliveroo and Nell opted to stay behind the camera to film and coordinate the challenge.
She assigned each friend a number and labelled the tests accordingly so the results would remain anonymous.
Lucy, 23, and Abenii, 25, both showed clear negatives.
But Hayley's came back with a faint second line, which caught Nell off guard.
Nell said: "I saw a faint line and my stomach dropped. Kim's came back strong positive as we knew it would, but Hayley's really shocked us."
When the group gathered to check the results, Hayley initially thought hers was negative until Nell encouraged them to take another look.
Nell said: "That's when it hit everyone. Hayley was in shock. "
"She sat down crying and we all went to comfort her. "
"I cried with her because I'd been holding it in for 15 minutes and didn't know how to handle it."
Kim, the mum-to-be, remained calm and supportive while Lucy immediately drove to Sainsbury's to buy more tests.
Hayley then took two more tests but both came back negative, leaving the group uncertain.
Nell said: "We know it's much more common to get a false negative than a false positive, so we didn't really rule anything out. "
"Hayley called her partner and he was so calm and supportive, which really helped."
After six more negative tests, Hayley spoke with her doctor and was advised to wait a few weeks before testing again.
Although a follow-up early sensitivity test came back negative, she's been told to wait three weeks and test again to be sure.
