US, Los Angeles: Canoga Park Standoff With Murder Suspect
Los Angeles, United States - August 07, 2025 08/07/2025 10:30 am GMT-0700 CANOGA PARK, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – An armed suspect wanted for murder engaged in a standoff with SWAT officers at a residence on North Independence Avenue. The incident lasted several hours and involved the suspect's mother and grandmother, who were also inside the home. During the standoff, both women exited the residence. The suspect's mother used a law enforcement intercom to urge her son to surrender. After approximately three hours, the SWAT team deployed tear gas into the home. Shortly thereafter, the suspect emerged and surrendered to authorities.
