Los Angeles, United States - January 12, 2026 01/12/2026 01:00 am GMT-0800 GRIFFITH PARK, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Pomona police officers initiated a pursuit of a stolen black Mercedes SUV in the area of Arrow Highway and Garey Avenue. The suspect drove toward the downtown area, proceeded into Hollywood, and then entered the San Fernando Valley. The chase continued into the Burbank and Glendale area, where the suspect merged onto the northbound 5 Freeway and took the 134 West transition road. Eventually, the suspect stopped on the right shoulder and exited the vehicle on foot, with a female passenger also fleeing the scene. The two attempted to evade officers by hiding under an overpass before trying to walk down a nearby bike path. Both suspects were taken into custody without incident near Zoo Drive and the 134 Freeway.
